Armond E. Schaefer

Armond E. Schaefer, 89, of West Bend, died on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital.

He was born on Oct. 18, 1913, in Kewaskum to the late Edward and Helena (nee Klukis) Schaefer.

After his marriage to Lauretta Chesak on Sept. 21, 1937, in West Bend, the couple settled in Kewaskum until coming to West Bend in 1965.

Armond was employed at The West Bend Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1977.

He enjoyed fishing and inventing various items that he used around his home.

His wife passed away on Feb. 9, 2002.

Armond was a member of the 25-Year Club at The West Bend Co.

Survivors include two children, Helen (Ted) Haasch of New Berlin and Robert (Linda) of Prior Lake, Minn.; two grandchildren, Susan (Matt) Retzer and Jonathan Haasch; a great-grandson, Henry Retzer; two sisters, Evelyn Albert of Horicon and Edna (Art) Sepersky of West Bend; a sister-in-law, Rosalie Klumb of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday,Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. at Peace UCC, Kewaskum.

Rev. John Tschudy will officiate, and burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery, West Bend.

Visitation at the church only will be Friday from 1 until 1:45 p.m.

Those who wish, may give memorials to Peace UCC.
