Paul M. Bacovsky Paul M. Bacovsky, 86, of West Bend, formerly of Menomonee Falls, died on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002 at St. Joseph's Community Hospital. He was born on March 11, 1916 in Forest Junction, to the late Michael and Bertha (Szajh) Bacovsky, and was raised in the Milwaukee area. After his marriage on March 8, 1941 to Bertha A. Mantz in Richfield, the couple lived in Menomonee Falls. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Paul was later employed at Harley-Davidson Motor Co., Milwaukee, as a machinist for over 37 years, retiring in 1978. The couple moved to the West Bend area in 1987. Paul was a member of Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church of West Bend, the VFW of Sussex, the West Bend Lions Club, Harley-Davidson 20-Year Club, and Horne-Mudlitz Post 6377. He loved woodworking and also enjoyed working in the Cedar Ridge woodworking club. Survivors include his wife; three children, Michael Bacovsky of Sayner, Rita (Dennis) Semerad of Rochester, Minn. and Mark (Denise) Bacovsky of Menomonee Falls; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were two sisters and a brother. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 29 at 11 a.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. Verlin M. Wandrey will officiate, and entombment will take place in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield. Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. Memorials are appreciated to Cedar Community of West Bend, "Partners in Caring." |
