George T. Bienlein A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, Nov. 23, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton for George T. Bienlein, formerly of town of Grafton, who died on Nov. 19, 2002 at the age of 94. Interment was at the church cemetery. Fr. George Gajdos officiated at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg. Mr. Bienlein was born in the town of Waubeka on May 25, 1908 the son of the late John and Eleanor (nee Schulz) Bienlein. He attended Ulao School and took over his father’s farm where he spent over 50 years toiling the land. He married Grace Kelly on July 24, 1937 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton. He was an avid card player, and loved dancing with his wife of 65 years. Survivors include: his wife Grace; children Sharon (Tom) Curd of Grafton and Wayne "Beaner" (special friend Katie) of Grafton; grandchildren: Mark (Patricia) Curd of Waubeka and Troy (special friend Edie) Curd of Cedarburg; great-grandchildren Cassaundra and Jacob Curd; brothers-in-law Palmer Wilke of West Bend, James (Vivian) Kelly of Sequim, Wash.; nephews Allen (Ruth) Krueger, Bud (Marge) Bienlein, Gerald Bienlein, James (Doris) Brandenburg, Dennis (Deborah) Wilke, Ronald (Carol) Wilke, Richard (Cheryl) Wilke; nieces Eileen (Russ) Blumenberg, Laverne (Harry) Frank and Patricia (Elmer) Hinz-Brown. He is survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother Joseph and sisters Florence, Leona, Sylvia and Lucille. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The School for the Blind or The Alzheimer’s Association are appreciated. |
