Marguerite 'Mark' Baumgartner, 82

Marguerite "Mark" Baumgartner, nee Weiss, 82, of West Bend died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002 at her residence.

She was born on Aug. 5, 1920 (a twin) in Slinger to the late Matthew and Anne (nee Peters) Weiss, and married James F. Baumgartner, M.D., on July 24, 1944.

He passed away on Nov.7, 1992.

She graduated from West Bend High School and attended the University of Wisconsin.

Mark was the loving mother of the late Mary Elizabeth, the late John T. M.D., James S. (Linda) of Barrington, Ill., Mary M. (Tom) Saggau of St. Louis, Mo., and Mark A. (Mary Jane) of Cedarburg; the dear grandmother of Kathryn, Andrew, Timothy, Nicklas and Matthew.

Further surviving are two sisters, Marie (Orville) Strachota and Kathryn (the late J. Tom) Merriam, both of West Bend; her twin brother, Joseph (Maybelle) of West Bend; a brother-in-law, R. Doug (Sharon) Ziegler of West Bend; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were two sisters, Armella Burt and Lorraine Heindl; and three brothers, Raymond, Arnold and Robert.

Mark was a generous leader of church, school and community activities, especially for having organized the Pink Ladies at St. Joseph's Community Hospital of West Bend and organizing the Tri-Parish Prayer Chain.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, at Holy Angles Catholic Church, West Bend.

Rev. Gerald Brittain will be the presider and burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery.

Visitation at the church only will be Monday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Angels School Trust Fund or to the American Cancer Society are suggested.
