Dorothy L. Kircher

Dorothy L. Kircher, nee Rowe, 89, of Green Bay, formerly of West Bend, died on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002 at East Side Manor Care in Green Bay.

She was born Feb. 5, 1913 in Laurium, Mich. to the late Reginald and Hilma (nee Bjorkman) Pollard, and married Adam A. Kircher on Oct. 24, 1936 at Holy Angels Church, West bend.

Her husband passed away on Jan. 27, 2002.

Dorothy came to West Bend in 1932. In 1957 she started working in the bookkeeping department at the former First State Bank and then at the Marine Bank, retiring in 1973.

Dorothy and Adam enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the country. She had a good sense of humor and liked to tell jokes.

Survivors include two nieces, Joan (Lane) Perdue of Green Bay and Linda (Roger) Polkinghorne of Newbury Park, Calif. and a nephew, Carlton (Judy) Pollard of Iron Mountain, Mich. She is further survived by three sisters-in-law, Katherine Pollard of Iron Mountain, Orlinda Retzer of Des Plaines, Ill. and Angeline Kircher of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Raymond Kircher of West Bend; many great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friend.s

Preceding her in death was a brother, Sam Pollard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Church in West Bend.

Rev. John Wutscheck will be the presider, and entombment will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

Visitation at the church only will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
