Megan A. Hext Megan A. Hext of Rubicon, 18, was born to eternal life on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, as the result of injuries suffered in a traffic accident in Rio. Megan graduated from Peace Lutheran Grade School in 1998 and Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School in 2002. She was a student at The National American University in Rapid City, S.D., majoring in equine business management. At KMLHS she played volleyball for four years, was in forensics, cheerleading, track, was on the National Honor Society and graduated with honors. Megan was a member of Thompson Irish Setters 4-H Club for 12 years, the Young People Society at Peace Lutheran Church and was in the hand bell choir and Echoes II. She was vice president of the Rodeo Club at college. Megan was a lifetime member of Peace Lutheran Church. She was the precious and loving daughter of Douglas and Sharon (nee Lubbert) Hext of Rubicon; dearest sister of Shannon Hext of Rubicon; precious granddaughter of Douglas and Carol Hext of Rhinelander and Melvin and Gerline Lubbert of Rubicon, and great-granddaughter of Bernice Regner of Sussex; loving niece of Rick (Linda) Hext of Menomonee Falls, Bob (Laurie) Hext of Rhinelander, Dennis (Karen) Hext of Bristol, Jim (Lori) Hext of Rhinelander, Larry (Marcia) Lubbert of Hartford, Cindy (Wayne) Sletten of Hustisford, Diane (Tom) Clarenbach and Tom (Anne) Lubbert, both of Hartford, and Kimberly (Doug) Littmann of Hartland. Also surviving are many loving cousins and many loving friends and classmates. Memorial services will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22 at Peace Lutheran Church, 1001 Center St., Hartford. Rev. Daniel Westendorf and Rev. David Weitzke will officiate, and private interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
