Debra Lee
Debra Lee, nee Kreis, 43, of Garrison, Texas, formerly of West Bend, died on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, at her residence. She was born on Dec. 12, 1959, in West Bend, and attended Catholic schools. She married Kenneth Lee on March 7, 1981, in Garrison. Debra was a cook - a good cook. And she took that skill and her love for the accomplishment of it and spread it throughout her life and to all of those around her. She was always the one that the blood center called to schedule, organize and oversee the blood drive in the area. Debra was always willing to give of herself and all that she had to those around her. She worked tirelessly for the community by way of the fire department, and as a neighbor. We will miss her loving ways and giving manner. Survivors include her husband; three children, Kenneth Lee Jr., Rebecca Ann Lee and Brian Lee, all at home; her parents, Ben and Carol Barr of West Bend and Fred Kreis of Washington; brothers and sisters, Fred Kreis and Teri (Steve) Baumgartner, both of West Bend, Tina (Dave) Zipter of Athelstine, Brenda (Randy) Simon and Gail Barr (special friend Jamie), both of West Bend; her grandmother, Viola Barr of West Bend; a sister-in-law, Kathy (Alvin) Kortz; her parents-in-law, Alton and Loretta Lee of Garrison; eight nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Preceding her in death were her maternal and paternal grandparents; her grandfather, Ben Barr Sr.; a niece, Amber Baumgartner and a nephew, Kent Baumgartner. Debra was a blood center volunteer and an EMT for the Garrison Fire Department. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 24, at the Garrison Funeral Home, Garrison. Rev. Walt Roberts and Rev. John McGuire officiated, and burial was in Bethal Cemetery, Nacogdoches County, Texas.
