Lydia C. Kruschel

A funeral service was held on Friday, Dec. 20 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Grafton for Lydia C. Kruschel (nee Moesche) who died on Dec. 17, 2002 at Lasata Care Center at the age of 95. Burial was held at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. Rev. Mark Wagner officiated at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg.

Mrs. Kruschel was born July 23, 1907 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Gustav and Lydia (Genzler) Moesche. She married Oscar Kruschel on Oct. 9, 1926 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 1985. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Grafton.

Survivors include: children Richard of Watertown, Sandra (Melvin) Garlie of Grafton; son-in-law Milton Fischer of Brown Deer; grandchildren Susan Crabbe, Cheryl Gynch and Michael (Nina) Garlie.

Further survived by six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Oscar and daughter Betty Fischer.
