Herbert H. Smith, 80, of Hartford, formerly of the town of Port Washington, died on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002 at the Hartford Care Center, Hartford.

He was born on March 27, 1922 in the town of Port Washington to the late Peter and Elizabeth (nee Graveldinger) Smith.

Herbie worked as a farmer in the Port Washington area. Following his retirement in 1982, he moved to the town of Trenton.

Survivors include a sister, Martha Fahney of the town of Trenton; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were three sisters, Anna Fahney, Marie Steinback and Mable Smith.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 3 p.m. at Kingdom Hall-Jehovah's Witnesses, 6823 Highway B, West Bend.

Tom Eastman will perform the readings, and burial of the cremated remains will be in St. Mary's Cemetery (new) in Port Washington.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Kingdom Hall only on Saturday from 2 p.m. until the time of services.
