Carl Eisen Jr.
Carl Eisen Jr., 66, of West Bend, died on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on Aug. 6, 1936 in Waukesha County to the late Carl Sr. and Anna (nee Wagner) Eisen. After his marriage to Mary Ellen Seim on Oct. 24, 1959 in Milwaukee, they settled in Milwaukee until being transferred to Tulsa, Okla. and then to Houston, Texas. They returned to Wisconsin in 1968, and for the last 26 years have lived in West Bend. Carl was employed in the accounts payable department at Taylor Electric in Mequon for almost 25 years, and since 1994 was a cleaning manager for Mahler Enterprises working at Rockwell Automation in Mequon up to the time of his illness. Carl's greatest enjoyment was spending quality time with his wife, children and especially with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Carl III (Pam) and Steven (Angie), both of West Bend, and David (Marcia) of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; eight grandchildren; a brother, John (Darlene) of Menomonee Falls; two sisters, Magdalene "Maggie" Thielen of Brookfield and Catherine (William) Metzger of Oconomo-woc; a sister-in-law, Beverly Jean Grichtmeier of North Fort Myers, Fla.; a brother-in-law, John (Gayle) Seim of Lillburn, Ga.; other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were a brother-in-law, Jerome Thielen, and a sister-in-law, Jeanne Eisen. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend. Pastor Bruce Dunford of the First Baptist Church will officiate, and entombment will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday from 5 p.m. until the time of services. Carl's family would like to show their sincere appreciation to Mary Ellen's co-workers in the Sub-Acute Care Unit at St. Joseph's Community Hospital for their concern and for going the extra mile so Mary Ellen could care for Carl.
