Barry Peter Gumm Barry Peter Gumm, 12, of Racine, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002. He was born in Racine on Jan. 24, 1990, to Peter Steven and Janice Rae (nee Lang) Gumm, and attended Wind Point and Prairie schools. Barry was a talented artist who loved to draw, listen to music and read poetry. He participated in AWANAS, the Boy Scouts and was a peer mediator at school. Survivors include his parents, Peter and Janice Gumm of Racine; maternal grandmother, Olga Lang of Racine; paternal grandmother, Kathleen Gumm Kies of West Bend; aunts and uncles, Sandra Stevens of Union Grove, Chris Lang of Kenosha, Jeff (Wanda) Lang of Manitoba, Canada, Cindy (Howard) DeGueme, Scott (Audrey) Gumm, Sue (Rick) Kell, all of West Bend, and Kay (Mark) Gundrum of Fishers, Ind.; and many dear cousins too numerous to mention. Preceding him in death were his grandfathers, Barry Lang, Marvin Gumm and Ralph Kies; and an uncle, Kevin Gumm. Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 1910 Taylor Ave., Racine, on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 5 p.m. for a funeral service with Rev. John Bodnar officiating. A visitation will precede the service from 4 to 5 p.m. Private burial will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated. |
