Barbara Jo Ferencevich Barbara Jo Ferencevich, nee Meyer, 65, of Hartford, passed away on Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at Aurora Medical Center, Hartford. She was born on Nov. 13, 1937 in Sheboygan to the late Alex and Helen (nee Schmit) Meyer, and married Mark Ferencevich on May 14, 1966 in West Bend. Barb worked at Hartford Memorial Hospital for 12 years and loved her work very much. She loved reading and playing trivia. Her favorite TV program was "America's Most Wanted." Above and beyond what she did and liked, her most redeeming quality was that she was a giver and put everyone before herself. Survivors include three daughters, Marjorie Lesch of West Bend, Kathleen (Tom) Zehren of Colorado and Helen Ferencevich of California; five sons, Robert (Terri) Gessner of West Bend, Mark and Michael (Kelly), both of Hartford, Matthew of Utah and Mitchell of Hartford; seven grandchildren; a brother, George Meyer of Hartford; three sisters, Sandy (Bob) Rasmussen of Illinois, Mary Janti of Alaska and Charlotte LePak of Grafton; other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband; two sons, Michael and Charles Gessner; and a grandson, Kevin Gessner. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford. Rev. Lowell Nelson will officiate, and inurnment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Rubicon. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday.
