Clara A. Gesch
Clara A Gesch (nee Dauman) 95, of West Bend died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002 at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center. She was born on June 1, 1907 in Green Lake and moved to Milwaukee at a young age and worked as a nurse for Milwaukee County. On Dec. 15, 1934 she was united in marriage to C. Eugene "Gene" Gesch in Milwaukee. Clara was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Slinger. Together they resided in Milwaukee until 1975 when they moved to Lake Nebagaman in northern Wisconsin and in 1990 they moved to West Bend to be closer to their family. They also enjoyed vacationing at their cottage on Big Cedar Lake for many years. Her son, Charles Gesch, and a sister, Edna Lewis, preceded her in death as did her husband, who died in 1998. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Janice Gesch of Big Cedar Lake, a granddaughter, Susan (Craig) Claerbout and a great-granddaughter Nicole Claerbout of West Bend, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of the Flowers at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield. Rev. Johnathan Breimeier of St. Luke Lutheran Church will officiate and entombment will be in the Garden of the Last Supper at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the Chapel of the Flowers on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of services. Memorials to St. Luke Lutheran Church, Slinger are appreciated by the family.
