Mary Ann Severance

Mary Ann Severance (nee Wenninger), 67, of West Bend, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2002 at St. Joseph's Community Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on April 26, 1935 in Nabob to the late Peter and Marina (nee Esser) Wenninger, and attended West Bend High School.

After her marriage on March 15, 1974, to John M. Severance in West Bend, the couple lived in West Bend.

She was employed at Tecumseh Products of Grafton for over 36 years as a machinist, retiring in April 1999.

Mary Ann was a member of the Kettle Moraine Klassic Kar Klub and a past vice president of the AFL-CIO.

She is survived by her husband, John; five children, Goldie (Gerard) Schuh of Hingham, Janet (Peter) Halfmann of Oostburg, Joanne (Allen) Barth of Kewaskum, Lloyd (Julie) Ebert of Slinger and John (Ruth) Ebert of West Bend; five stepchildren, Ted Severance of West Bend, Lori (special friend Bob Brodzeller) Severance of West Bend, Lynn (Steve) Kissinger of Kewaskum, Rodney (Barbara) Severance of Jackson and Lisa (Jay) Goehring of the town of Trenton; 14 grandchildren, Jason, Jessica, Beth Ann, Peter, Lloyd Jr., Kara, Jamie (Sarah), Jennifer, Justin, Sarah,. Geoffrey, Anna, Hallie, and Amanda; two great-grandchildren, Nolan and Cheyenne; a special family friend, Dr. Dena Greene of West Bend; two sisters, Helen (Louis) Brodzeller of Horicon and Margaret Wenninger of Milwaukee; one brother, Peter (Delores) Wenninger of West Bend; two sisters-in-law, Jenny Wenninger of West Bend and Bernice Wenninger of Mayville; one brother-in-law Clifford Eiche of Slinger; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by three sisters, Marie, Sandy and Rita; two brothers, Jacob and Bruno.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. at Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend.

Father Patrick Wendt will officiate, and cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Service of West Bend, with interment of ashes in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

Visitation at the funeral home will be on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m.
