Leo M. Fellenz

Leo M. Fellenz, 89, formerly of Campbellsport died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002 at the St. Francis Home, Fond du Lac, where he has been residing.

He was born in the town of Scott in Sheboygan County on Aug. 26, 1913, the son of John and Christine Schladweiler Fellenz. On June 28, 1938, he married Arlene M. Schneider at St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michael. She preceded him in death on Nov. 22, 2001. They farmed together in the St. Michael area until moving to Campbellsport in 1983. He also worked at the West Bend Company from 1956 until retirement.

He was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Campbellsport and the St. Lawrence Parent's Guild.

Survivors include his children Richard (Mary) of Plymouth, Rev. Ralph OFM Cap. of Panama, Robert (Maryann) of Kewaskum, Mary (Darold) Werkmeister of Armour, S.D., Joseph (Lynn) of Crestview, Fla., Christine (Gilbert) Deigini of Egypt, Rita Ables of Milwaukee, Ann (Jerome) Van Cauteran of Hatley, Frank (Cheryl) of Campbellsport, Virginia (Rich) Schroeder of Tomah, Caroline (Dennis) Kirsenlohr of Nekoosa and Yvonne Fellenz of Burlington; 24 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandchild, a son-in-law William Ables, his bothers Vincent, Alfred, Michael and Benjamin and his sisters Marie and Rita.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14 at noon at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Campbellsport. Rev. Ralph Fellenz OFM Cap. will officiate the burial to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, St. Michael. Visitation will be Saturday, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials are appreciated to the St. Francis Home or St. Matthew's Church.
