Ervin Butzlaff

Ervin Butzlaff, 91, of the town of Kewaskum, died on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002 at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law,

He was born on May 25, 1911 in the town of Kewaskum, to the late William and Amelia (nee Schaefer) Butzlaff, and married Louise Herman on Nov. 24, 1934 in Theresa.

She passed away on Nov. 30, 2002.

He farmed the family homestead farm until retiring at the age of 65.

Survivors include four children, Ervin Jr. of Horicon, Janet (William) Meyer and William (Carol), both of Kewaskum and Leroy (Joanne) of Allenton; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Esther Eggert of Kewaskum; a brother-in-law, Lyle Herman of Allenton; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were a daughter-in-law, June Butzlaff; two sisters, Edna Butzlaff in infancy and Melinda Landvatter; a sister-in-law, Vanelda Krell; and a brother-in-law, George Herman Jr.

Combined funeral services for Ervin and Louise will be held on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. at Peace United Church of Christ, Kewaskum.

Pastor Eric Kirkegaard will officiate, and burial will follow in Peace UCC Cemetery, Kewaskum.

Visitation at the church only will be on Thursday from noon until 1:45 p.m.

The Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, is serving the family.
