Louise D. Butzlaff

Louise D. Butzlaff, nee Herman, 87, of the town of Kewaskum, died on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002 at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend.

She was born on April 28, 1914 in Theresa to the late George and Alvina (nee Hahn) Herman.

After her marriage to Ervin Butzlaff on Nov. 24, 1934 in Theresa, the couple settled on their present farm in the town of Kewaskum.

Louise was a mother and a hard-working farm wife who also loved gardening, especially growing flowers. She also loved baking, with pies and cookies being her favorites.

Being with her family, and especially caring for her husband, were her greatest enjoyments.

Survivors include her husband; four children, Ervin Jr. of Horicon, Janet (William) Meyer and William (Carol), both of Kewaskum, and Leroy (Joanne) of Allenton; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Lyle of Allenton; a sister-in-law, Esther Eggert of Kewaskum; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were a sister, Vanelda Krell; a brother, George Jr.; two sisters-in-law, Edna Butzlaff in infancy and Melinda Landvatter; and a daughter-in-law, June Butzlaff.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. at Peace UCC, Kewaskum., followed by burial in Peace UCC Cemetery.

Visitation at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m., and also at the church on Wednesday from noon until 1:45 p.m.
