Evert Ott

A private committal service will occur on Dec. 6 for Katherine Evert Ott, who died on Nov. 26, 2001 at the age of 92. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, Dec. 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Boniface Episcopal Church in Mequon. There will be a luncheon following the service at the church.

The Schramka-Densow Funeral Home, Thiensville, is serving the family.

Mrs. Ott was the daughter of Mabel Evert Warnock and Carl Evert. She attended Marinette High School and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in elementary education.

She married George Louis Ott on July 29, 1933.

She taught second grade for many years, including 16 years in the Cedarburg School District. After retirement she tutored young students in reading.

She was an active member of the Senior Woman’s Club of Cedarburg. She and her husband were founding members of St. Boniface Episcopal Church in Mequon. Her and her husband greatly enjoyed traveling as they visited many places around the world, including Southeast Asia, Africa, China, Alaska and Russia.

Survivors include: son George Evert Ott (Connie) of Cross Plains; daughter Mary Kay Wesolowski (Paul) of St. Francis; grandchildren Tammy and Teri Hundhausen, Robin Ott, George (Julie) Ott, Michael (Marianne) Ott and Mark (Valerie) Ott; great-grandchildren, Michael and Natalie Sharpe, George S., Justin, Spencer and Salacia Ott.

The family asks that memorials be made to St. Boniface Episcopal Church, Mequon.
