J. Kennedy Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 16, at Congregation Shalom in Fox Point for Webb J. Kennedy of Mequon who died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001 as a result of a motorcycle accident in Crivitz, at the age of 49. Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at the ceremony. Interment was held at Beth Hamedrosh Hagodol Cemetery. Mr. Kennedy was born on March 12, 1952 in Green Bay, the son of the late James and Suzan Kennedy. He graduated from UW-Green Bay in 1978 with a degree in psychology and communications. He worked in sales until 1983 when he received his real estate broker’s license. He then worked as a self-employed property manager for several rental properties in the Milwaukee area. Recently he sold his rental units and began a new venture managing commercial real estate with his wife Marla. In September 2001, he returned to college to get a degree in Computer Information Systems. Survivors include: his wife Marla; children Elizabeth, 21, Joshua,16, and Suzan,14, of Mequon; siblings Daniel (Marcia) Kennedy of Green Bay, Colleen (Brian) Leigh of Mequon, Kerrie Kennedy of Green Bay, and Christopher (Jessica) Kennedy of Milwaukee. He is also survived by his grandmother Viola Huxford and his aunt Mary Jane Kennedy both of Green Bay. The family would like to extend gratitude for the heartfelt efforts of the doctors and nurses in the Neuroscience ICU and pastoral care staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay. Memorials to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
