Philip "Bob’ Skrentny
Robert Philip "Bob’ Skrentny, 60, of Campbellsport, formerly of West Bend, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, after a brief and courageous struggle with pancreatic cancer. Bob was born 60 years ago on March 24, in Green Bay, to the late Raymond and Ann (Felden) Skrentny. An avid Packer fan, a Wisconsin sports enthusiast, a lover of rummaging and flea markets, Bob spent much of his free time fixing and fishing at his lake home. A dedicated employee of the Gehl Co. in West Bend for nearly 38 years, he became a member of the Hexelbank Club in 1989. He taught his family to respect and enjoy nature and the outdoors where many special times were spent with them. He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Spradau), his wife of 40 years; the loving father of Jeff (Lynne) of Chicago, Jim (partner, Steve) of Madison, Joanne (George) Phillips of Milwaukee and Joy (John) Heinan of West Bend; dear grandfather of Elizabeth and Joseph Phillips, Richard and Robert Heinan. He is also survived by five brothers, Jerome of West Bend, David of Sturtevant, Tom (Bonnie) of Sun Prairie, Barney (Julia) of England and Ray (Chris) of New Berlin; his father-in-law, Edward Spradau of Cascade; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ace Hutchinson of West Bend, Jan Spradau of South Dakota, Sherry and Dennis Muench of West Bend, Scott and Dawn Spradau of Cascade, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. We dearly miss the twinkle in your eyes, your playful spirit and your loving embrace. Visitation at the Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum, will be Friday, Nov. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. At Robert's request, a memorial service for the immediate family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory for cancer research through the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345.
