Kurth
Milton R. Kurth, 88, of West Bend, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital. He was born Aug. 20, 1913, in Cedarburg, to the late Henry and Augusta (Lenhardt) Kurth, and married Walburga A. "Wallie" Oelhafen on June 26, 1943, at St. John's Lutheran Church, West Bend. After their marriage the couple farmed in the town of Barton for over 46 years, retiring in 1989. Milton enjoyed gardening in his later years. Survivors include his wife; four children, Dennis (Peggy) of the town of Barton, Lynn (Henry) Thill of the town of Trenton, David (Nancy) of Tygard, Ore. and Robert of Florida; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Connie) Kurth, Aaron Kurth, Kristen Kurth, Jeremy (Jenny) Thill, Michael Thill, Eric (Latrice) Kurth and Tige Kurth; two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Braxton Kurth; two sisters-in-law, Rose Kurth of Cedarburg and Minnie Justman of West Bend; a brother-in-law, Ruben Kind of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were four sisters and two brothers. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of West Bend. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 7:30 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. Victor C. Hackbarth will officiate, and entombment will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, at 10 a.m. on Thursday. Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Memorials are appreciated.
