Steven S. "Steve" Zimdars, 41, of West Bend, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, in the town of Trenton.

He was born Dec. 2, 1959, in Port Washington, to Earl and Lorraine (nee Bruendl) Zimdars, and was raised in the Fillmore area.

He was a 1978 graduate of Kewaskum High School, and was a self-employed carpenter in the surrounding area.

Survivors include his mother, Lorraine Zimdars of West Bend; two children, Jessica and Joshua Gerritson-Zimdars of Eden; four sisters, Sharon Port of West Bend, Diane (Lee) Heimerl of Fredonia and Donna (Earl) Miller and Sheryl (Steven) Lindley, both of West Bend; five brothers, David (Judith) of Fredonia, Donald (TeriLee) and Dale (Alene), both of West Bend, Darryl (Sue) of Grafton and Daniel of Oshkosh; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

His father preceded him in death on March 20, 1998.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend.

Father Robert G. Sampon will officiate, and cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services with interment of ashes in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

Visitation will be Monday from 5 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
