Darlene F. "Peggy" Rusch Darlene F. "Peggy" Rusch, nee Mauck, 70, of West Bend, was taken by God to be in his eternal home on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001. She was born Nov. 11, 1931, in Hill City, Kan., to the late Joel and Elizabeth (Bugsley) Mauck and married Roger L. Rusch on Oct. 30, 1954 in Longmount, Colo. She worked at the West Bend School District in food service for over 27 years, retiring in 1990. She was a Pink Lady and delivered Meals on Wheels for St. Joseph's Community Hospital, and enjoyed playing cards with bridge being her favorite. Survivors include her loving husband; a son, Ricky (Deborah) Rusch of West Bend and two precious grandchildren, Collin and Taylor Rusch. Being the youngest of 15 childen, she is survived by a sister, Betty Shell of Casper, Wyo; a brother-in-law, Art Adams of Las Vegas, Nev.; four sisters-in-law, Erleen (LeRoy) Brehmer of Appleton, Verna Mauck of Hill City, Kan., Gladys Mauck of Phoenix, Ariz. and Charlotte (Larry) Hoffmann of West Bend. She is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were 13 brothers and sisters. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, West Bend, and the Women of the Moose of West Bend, #1398. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 2, at 7:30 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. Sharon Stier will officiate, and entombment will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. Visitaton at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. until the time of services. Memorials are appreciated. We would like to give special thanks to Dr. Gill and Dr. Smale and also the staff at Heartland Hospice Services. They are the most dedicated and professional people we have ever met.
