Eugene D. Gudex, 75, of Campbelsport, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.

He was born Feb. 15, 1926 in the town of Eden to the late Leonard D. and Ida (Schlueter) Gudex, and on Sept. 27, 1947, married Bertha Habeck at St. Paul's parsonage in the town of Forest. She passed away on Feb. 28, 1998.

They had farmed together in the town of Ashford.

Eugene was a member of AMPI and the Feeder Pig Co-op.

Survivors include eight sons, Kenneth (Karen), Loran, Karl, George (Kay), Dennis (Diane), all of Campbellsport, Leonard (Jean) of Fond du Lac, Dale (Sharon) of Brownsville and Gene (Jill) of Jackson; two daughters, Marilyn (Bob) Zerbst and Elaine (Mike) Powell, both of Illinois; 25 grandchildren; one great-grandson; three brothers, David (Hazel), Harold (Lila) and Arnold (Alice), all of Campbellsport; five sisters-in-law, Sara (Marvin) Mueller of Fond du Lac, Lillian Baganz of Mt. Calvary, Alice Halfmann of Fond du Lac, Marie (Arnold) Guntly of Racine and Loraine Habeck of Fond du Lac; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were two brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport.

Rev. Stanley Hayes will officiate, and burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, town of Forest.

Visitation at the funeral home will be Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m.
