Erna E. Hafemann, nee Ponath, 78, of Jackson, died on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001.

She was the beloved wife of the late Wilbert; dear sister of Edmund Ponath and Elaine (Jerome) Dietrich, and is further survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death was a brother, Elmer Ponath.

Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 28, at 7 p.m. at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Pleasant Valley Road. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation at the church will be Friday from 5 p.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church are appreciated.
