Delos J. "Specs" Weber
Delos J. "Specs" Weber, 69, of Hartford, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, at his winter home in lake Wales, Fla. He was born on Nov. 20, 1932, in Ashippun to the late Bernard and Edna (nee Reuteler) Weber. Del was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers and a mail carrier in Hartford 29 years. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged as a sergeant. He was a D.A.V. life member of Milwaukee and Florida, and was a member of the Hartford VFW Post #8834, the Courtney-Carr-Milner American Legion Post #19 in Hartford, the Elks Club, Moose Club, American Legion of the Moose and the Hartford Senior Friends. Survivors include a brother, Maurice Weber (Viola Funk of Hartford; a brother-in-law, Charles Young of Warren, Ohio; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends. Preceding him in death were a sister, Delores, and an infant brother, Ervin. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 28, at 7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford. with Fr. Michael Petrie officiating. Interment will be in St. Kilian Cemetery, on Saturday with graveside military rites conducted by the Hartford VFW Post 8834. The family will greet relatives and friends Friday at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorials to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
