He was born to Raymond (Pauline Konrath) Hoerig on Nov. 19, 1921, in the town of Rubicon and lived in the Hartford area.

He married Arlene W. Wachs on Sept. 4, 1945, at Holy Angels P arsonage in West Bend, and moved to West Bend. He was a factory worker for the West Bend Co., retiring in 1984. He loved gardening and keeping his yard beautiful.

He is survived by three children, Joan (Sylvester) Dettmann of West Bend, James Hoerig of West Allis, and Linda Hoerig of Anchorage, Alaska; two grandchildren, Shawn Harris of Tempe, Ariz. and Jackie Harris of West Bend; two great-grandchildren, Jessica Harris of Hartford and Shelby Daley of West Bend; two sisters, Sister Ruth Hoerig of Milwaukee and LaVerne (Harry) Feucht of Clintonville; two brothers, Harvey (Betty) Hoerig of Kewaskum and Roy Hoerig of Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday at 7 p.m. at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church with Father Patrick Wendt officiating. Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services with interment of ashes at Union Cemetery of Campbellsport. Visitation will be at the chruch only on Friday from 5 p.m. until time of Mass.
