He was bon June 6, 1918, in Slinger, and lived most of his life in West Bend.

He owned and operated the Allen Kohl Agency, an insurance agency, that moved to Main Street in 1970. He also owned King Kohl Hobby House.

Allen moved to Winter Haven in 1980 and owned and operated A.K. Sew and Serge.

He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Winter Haven.

Survivors include his wife, Florence; sons, Thomas of Winter Haven and Michael of Milwaukee; brothers, Edward Kohl of Milwaukee, Thomas Collins of Bartow, Fla., Michael Collins of Westersville, Ohio; a sister, Eleanor Kutska of Green Bay; and a a granddaughter, Mary Kohl of West Bend.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
