L. Schoessow-Hilgendorf Funeral services were held on Friday Dec. 7, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Freistadt for Esther L. Schoessow-Hilgendorf of Germantown who died on Dec. 4, 2001 at the age of 93. Interment was at the church cemetery. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg assisted the family with arrangements. Mrs. Hilgendorf was born Sept. 10, 1908 in Mequon, to the late Frank and Clara (nee Radue) Klug. Survivors include: children Harold (Dorothy) Schoessow of Mequon, Dolores (Marvin) Boehlke of Germantown, Dorothy (Bert) Griffin of Fullerton, Calif., Ruth (John) Leninger of Lady Lake, Fla., Timothy (Terry) Schoessow of Mequon; stepdaughters Doreen (Bob) Corso of Germantown, Mary Ann (David) Bowden of Falls Church, Va.; sisters Alma Riemer of Cedarburg, Elvira Buch of Waterloo, Norma Schoessow of Texas, Loraine (Earl) Boehlke of Random Lake, Marion Frenz of Cedarburg; brother Franklin (Evelyn) Klug of Mequon; sister-in-law Viola Klug of Mequon. Further survived by 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband Herbert Schoessow in 1984 and her second husband Fred Hilgendorf in 2000. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Evelyn Rutz and son James Schoessow. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church or charity of your choice are appreciated.
