Mr. Leonard E. Schultz

Mr. Leonard E. Schultz, 72, of New Fane passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.

He was born on Feb. 15, 1928, in the town of Auburn, the son of the late William and Violet (BAssett) Schultz and on Sept. 23, 1950, he was united in marriage to Ruth Mary Giese at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Theresa.

Mr. Schultz was employed by Regal Ware Inc. in Kewaskum for 38 years, retiring on Feb. 15, 1990, and was a member of the 25 Year Club. He served his country as a M.P. in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War, was a member of the Robert G. Romaine American Legion Post #384 Kewaskum and a life-long member of St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Ruth Mary of New Fane; four sons, Leon (Karen) and Lynn (Paula) Schultz, both of New Fane, Lee (Kris) and Rodney Joann) Schultz, both of West Bend; two sisters, Vernette Wetherington of Kinston, N.C., and Marilyn (Daniel) Wilke of Howards Grove; 11 granddaughters; a grandson; two great-grandsons; other relatives and many friends.

Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane. Rev. Mark Eckert will officiate and burial with military graveside rites follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call on Saturday from noon until the time of services at the church.
