Joan N. Lewin

Joan N. Lewin, nee Hoffmann, 65, of Cedarburg, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital, Ozaukee.

She was born Nov. 26, 1935, in Thiensville, to the late Lambert and Mildred (nee Pollnow) Hoffmann, and married Walter "Jake" Lewin on May 14, 1935, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg.

Joan worked for Doerr Electric for many years and was also a member of the Ladies Aid at Immanuel Lutheran Church and the ladies auxiliary of the Peter Wollner Post 288 of Cedarburg.

Survivors include her husband; children, Karen (Henry) Havlik of Middlebury, Ind., Keith (Kim) Lewin of Cedarburg, Kim "Lewy" (Lisa Carlson) Lewin of West Bend, Kris (Joseph) DelCamp of Grafton and Kerry (Sally) Lewin of West Bend; grandchildren, Philip Havlik of Whitewater, Kyle Havlik and Brooke Havlik of Middlebury, Monique Lewin of Grafton, Amanda Lewin of Cedarburg, Carlie and Mitchell DelCamp of Grafton, Jacob Lewin of West Bend, Heidi and Kaidi Carlson of West Bend; a sister, Carol (Marvin) Kringel; a brother, Glenn (Carol) Hoffmann; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Lewin, Alvina Matter, Ruth (Murray) Heidtke and Mildred Severson; a brother-in-law, Ernst (Betty) Lewin; nieces; nephew; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30, at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg. Interment will take place in Immanuel Cemetery.

Visitation at the Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg, will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m., and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Diabetes Foundation are appreciated.
