Philip H.A. Lamp, 79, of Fillmore, was born into eternal life on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Wauwatosa. He was born in Horicon on July 1, 1921, to the late Philip H.A. and Margaret (nee Pfeifer) Lamp Sr. At an early age he moved to Milwaukee with his family, and at the age of 10 moved with his family to the Fillmore area to farm. Philip continued to be engaged in farming until the time of his death. He was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Newburg, active in the Fillmore Turner Society for many years and was also actively involved in many fund raising activities for various organizations. Philip was a loving uncle to seven nieces, Darlene (Gary) Koch of West Bend, Joyce (James) Ksioszk of Fillmore, Joan (Alan) Bohn of West Bend, Marilyn Hefter of Fillmore, Karen Krueger of West Bend, Laureen (Brian) Bastian of Fillmore and Melinda (Derek) Berube of West Bend; 10 great- nieces and nephews; and one great-great nephew; special friends, Dr. Kenneth and Linda Ciriacks of Santa Fe, N.M.; other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his brother, Andrew A. Lamp; a sister-in-law, Elaine (nee Ciriacks) Lamp; and two infant nieces. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 30, at 1 p.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Newburg. Rev. Matthew Holtz will officiate, and burial will follow in St. John's Church Cemetery. Visitation at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., and Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials to St. John's Church are appreciated by the family.
