Butzke Nila Butzke, 58, of rural Campbellsport, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, at the home of her daughter in Horicon. She was born June 8, 1942, in Corry, Pa., to the late Robert and Catherine (Maginnis) Smith, and on Oct. 21, 1961, married Glenn A. Butzke in Kohlsville. Her husband passed away on June 18, 1995. Mrs. Butzke was employed by the J.C. Penney Corp., West Bend branch, for 28 years until 1997. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane and the American Legion Auxiliary in Lomira. Survivors include four daughters, Bonnie (Rev. Jay) Jaeger of Alden, Iowa, Gail (Tim) Kougl of Campbellsport, Shirley (Greg) Bokelman of Lomira and Donna (Mark) Ertel of Horicon; a sister, Beverly VanLuven; a brother, Robert Smith of Florida; 10 grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Preceding her in death were a sister, Shirley Smith; her stepmother, Catherine Smith; a brother-in-law, Wilson Oppermann; and a sister-in-law, Verna Oppermann. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane. Rev. Mark Eckert will officiate, and burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 3 p.m. until the time of services. The Miller Funeral Home of Kewaskum is serving the family.
