Mr. Magnusson was born July 23, 1928, son of Arthur J. "Tyken" and Geneva (nee Caldwell) Magnusson. He married Fern Kolatskie in Milwaukee on March 31, 1951. He was an accountant for the firm of Arthur Andersen. He and his wife purchased the Edge of Town Supper Club in 1970 and operated it until 1990, when they passed it down to their son.

Survivors include: wife Fern; sons Mark (Wendy) of Fredonia, Drew of Las Vegas, David Jr. (Karen) of Grafton; daughters Karen (Stewart) Smith of Valparaiso, Ind., Judy Van Sluys of Phillips; 9 grandchildren, brothers Melbourne of Milwaukee and Lynn of Freeport, Ill; sisters Ruth Johnson and Fave Loise Hoff of Spooner; mother-in-law Leonore Berse.
