Frank J. Haupert

Frank J. Haupert, 91, formerly of Neosho, passed away on Sunday, Dec 17, 2000, at the Cedar Lake Home Campus in West Bend.

He was born May 10, 1909, in the town of Rubicon, to the late Jacob and Anna (nee Wagner) Haupert, and married Caroline Metz on Sept. 11, 1937, at St. John's Catholic Church, Rubicon.

Frank was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Neosho and a past member of its Holy Name Society.

He was a retired member of the Neosho volunteer fireman, a former tavern owner, farmed near Neosho and had been a greenskeeper at the Oconomowoc Golf Course.

Frank was a past president of the village of Neosho and a volunteer driver for the Commission on Aging for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Schulte of Tempe, Ariz. and Jane (Rick) Dietzler of West Bend; a daughter-in-law, Leona Haupert of Juneau (fiance Steve Friday of Hartford); nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Matthew Haupert of Iron Ridge; a sister, Ellen Pieper of Neosho; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Caroline in 1994; a son, Joseph in 1997; a grandson, Daniel Schulte in 1969; and a brother, Nickolas in 1948.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Dec. 21, at 7 p.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Neosho.

Fr. Russell Stommel will officiate, and interment will be in St. Bartholomew's Cemetery, Rubicon.

The family will greet relatives and friends Thursday at the church only from 4 to 7 p.m.

Memorials to St. Matthew's or Alzheimer's Research are appreciated.
