Willard O. Reichert, 83, of Hartford, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, at the Hartford Care Center.

He was born May 30, 1917, in the town of Hartford, to the late William and Lena (nee Frank) Reichert, and married Lillian Basler on June 20, 1942, in Cheyenne, Wyo.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Suzanne (Thomas) Sackett of Hartford; two grandchildren, Jeffrey (Tamara) Sackett of Hartford and Wendy (Eric) Casetta of Slinger; two great-grandchildren, Geoffrey and Jennifer; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were seven brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford.

Rev. Edward Freese will officiate, and private family interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.

The family will greet relatives and friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m.

Memorials to St. John's United Church of Christ, Hartford, are appreciated.
