Robert J. Knoeck

Robert J. Knoeck, 58, of West Bend, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

He was born June 24, 1942, in West Bend, to the late Alex and Celia (nee Spoerl) Knoeck.

Bob farmed the family homestead until shortly after his marriage to Mary L. Ritger on Aug. 17, 1968, at St. Anthony Church, Allenton.

In 1969 he started employment with the city of West Bend, and at the time of his retirement due to illness, was the assistant supervisor of streets in the Department of Public Works.

He was a member of the Kewaskum Historical Society and the St. Joseph's Society at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church.

Survivors include his wife; four children, Michael, Mark, Scott (Jeanette), all of West Bend, and Matthew of Kewaskum; a grandson, Dillon Michael Knoeck; a brother, Ronald (Brenda) of Beechwood; a sister, Janie (John) Massolio of Brandon, Fla.; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Ritger of Allenton; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Dec. 20, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church, West Bend.

Fr. Patrick Wendt will be the presider, and burial will follow in St. Mary's (new) Cemetery.

Visitation at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Tuesday from 4 until an 8 p.m. prayer vigil, and also at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
