Roman F. Gundrum

Roman F. Gundrum, 84, of Hartford, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2000, at Hartford Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 9, 1916, in Nenno, to the late Paul and Elizabeth (nee Becker) Gundrum, and married Mary Trapp on July 4, 1953, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.

Roman lived in Nenno most of his early years, and worked on the family farm until 1945. He worked at Chrysler in Hartford for 34 years, retiring in 1979.

Roman was an avid bowler and loved gardening and working outdoors. He was a very social neighbor and friend to all.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Rick (Lois) Gundrum of Slinger; two step-grandchildren, Toby (Amy) Brandenstein of Mapleton and Mindy (Pat) Mayo of De Pere; two step-great-grandchildren, Hannah and Ian; a brother, Edmund Gundrum of Nenno; a sister, Mildred (Paul) Leichtle of Theresa; two sisters-in-law, Luella Trapp of Beaver Dam and Katrina Trapp of Englewood, Colo.; a brother-in-law, Harry Schweder of Hartford; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were a brother and his wife, Wilfred (Gertrude) and five sisters and their spouses, Hildagard (Richard) Bodden, Isabelle (Oscar) Schaefer, Margaret (Ben) Jacklin, Irene (Al) Kienast and Marie Schweder.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Church, Hartford, with interment in St. Kilian Cemetery, Hartford.

The family will greet relatives and friends Tuesday at the church only from 4 to 7 p.m.

Memorials to St. Kilian Church or the charity of the donor's choice are appreciated.
