He was born Jan. 31, 1928, in the town of Theresa, to the late Richard and Amanda (nee Kluge) Giese, and married Pearl Sellnow in 1950 in the town of Theresa. She preceded him in death.

On May 3, 1980, he married Gladys Martin in West Bend.

Survivors include his wife; children, Gary (Sue) Giese and Lois (Ron) Puls, both of Theresa; three stepdaughters, Caroline Schwartz of West Bend, Christine Westphal and Cindy (Joe) Fechter, both of Newburg; a sister, Gertrude (Ray) Schied of Campbellsport; a brother, Almond (Marline) Giese of Theresa; two grandchildren, Carrie Puls and Trisha Puls; 15 step-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were six brothers, Clarence, Alex, Herbert, Harvey, Palmer and Rufus; and a sister, Eleanor.

Erhard was a retired town of Theresa farmer, and was later employed at Mayville Metal, retiring in 1993.

He was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, town of Theresa.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 1 p.m. at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church.

Rev. Robert Noldan will officiate, and burial will be in Union Cemetery, Theresa.

Visitation at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m., and at the church on Tuesday from noon until the services.
