Ralph A. Engelhardt

Ralph A. Engelhardt, 75, of Jackson, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at his residence.

He was born July 26, 1925, in Jackson, to the late Joseph and Alma (nee Hahn) Engelhardt, and married Joyce Rose on May 16, 1972, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend. She passed away in 1972.

He then married Janice M. Gerroll on Sept. 6, 1980, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, West Bend.

Ralph was an employee of Libby's Canning Co. and Seneca Foods in Jackson for 41 years, retiring in 1987.

He was a member of the Jackson Memorial Post 7240 VFW.

Survivors include his wife; five children, Mary (Jeff) Meyer of Cameron, Nancy Engelhardt of Aliso Viejo, Calif., Jane (Dave) Tabor of Santa Margarita, Calif., Rita (Jeff) Otten of Random Lake and Paul of Belgium, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Roland of Slinger; and a sister, Marie Hoephner of Tucson, Ariz.

Preceding him in death was a sister, Rita Anderson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Dec. 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, West Bend, with Fr. Jeffrey Haines presiding.

Visitation at the Schmidt Funeral Home, Jackson, will be Sunday from 4 p.m. until a prayer vigil at 6:30 p.m., and also on Monday at the church only from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
