Dolores M. Wolf

Dolores M. Wolf, nee Schemenauer, 82, formerly of the town of Addison, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center, West Bend.

She was born Oct. 20, 1918, in the town of West Bend, to the late Joseph and Susan (nee Korneli) Schemenauer.

Following her marriage to Stanley F. Wolf on June 1, 1940, at Sacred Heart Church in Allenton, they settled on a farm in the town of Addison;

She was employed part time at St. Joseph's Community Hospital in the housekeeping department.

While she was working the farm with her husband, and later their children, Dolores' interest in animals, farming and country life grew into a life-long affection.

Her husband passed away Dec. 7, 1985.

She was a member of the St. Matthias Christian Women's Confraternity, the Cedar Chips Homemaker's Club and the West Bend Chapter 732 Women of the Moose.

Survivors include four children, Ronald (Bernette) of West Bend, Kenneth (Judy) of Fox Lake, Darlene (Jim) Myers and Karen (Curt) Schrauth, both of West Bend; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernice (Richard) Rose of St. Anthony; a sister-in-law, Virginia Schemenauer of West Bend; two brothers-in-law, Harold Schaefer of Milwaukee and Edgar (Ann) Wolf of West Bend; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were a son, James on Aug. 26, 1976; two brothers, Sylvester and Clarence; and two sisters, Ruth Klein and Cecelia Schaefer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Matthias Chapel, Nabob.

Fr. Alois VanBeek will be the presider, and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

Visitation at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, will be on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m., with a Women of the Moose Ritual at 6:30 p.m. and a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m.
